Plate spinning with the people of Leeds
Here's the tale of how I became entranced by the world of circus skills. It all started back at Great Georges Project (The Black-E) in Liverpool. The Black-E attracted volunteers from all around the world with an amazing variety of skills and talents. Quite a few were eye catching jugglers and only too keen to share their enthusiasm for juggling. This is when I fell in love with the art of juggling.
At first I borrowed other people's bean bags and quickly learned how to juggle three balls smoothly. Not satisfied with this I started to experiment with different throws, catches, patterns and developed a series of three ball tricks.
And from there I have spent oodles of time practising new circus skills, learning how to use different types of equipment - diabolo, devil sticks, clubs, balance boards, plates - for over 20 years. I have performed in parks, community centres, schools, city centres and anywhere there is a space to juggle. You can watch me in juggling action in the video above. I'm now looking to spread my joy of juggling in schools, offering tailor made workshops to suit all abilities and ages. Book me to give your students a memorable juggling/circus skills experience they will never forget.
